The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced and relationship-focused Trade Relations Manager to join our Construction team.

You will take ownership of the Trade Mates platform while building and strengthening relationships across our trade partner network. Acting as a key link between ABN Group and our subcontractor workforce, you will drive trade engagement, support workforce growth initiatives, and ensure our trade partners experience the highest levels of service and support.

This is a unique opportunity for someone who enjoys building strong stakeholder relationships, engaging with trades on-site, and delivering innovative initiatives that improve the way we work together.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Drive the growth, performance, and continuous improvement of the Trade Mates platform
  • Develop engaging content and communications for trade partners
  • Build, maintain, and strengthen relationships with subcontractors and trade partners
  • Support the attraction, onboarding, and retention of high-quality trades
  • Identify trade capacity requirements and workforce gaps across the business
  • Coordinate trade engagement initiatives including events, site visits, and trade BBQs
  • Monitor and report on trade network growth, engagement, and onboarding activities
  • Partner with Construction and Operations teams to support workforce requirements
  • Champion initiatives that improve the ease of doing business with ABN Group

What You Will Bring

You are a highly engaging relationship builder with a strong understanding of the residential construction industry. You thrive on connecting with people, influencing outcomes, and creating positive experiences for stakeholders.

Ideally, you will bring:

  • Experience within residential construction, workforce planning, trade engagement, or stakeholder management
  • Strong knowledge of construction and pre-construction processes
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
  • Experience managing or promoting digital engagement platforms
  • The ability to identify workforce gaps and proactively source trade partners
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • A passion for continuous improvement and delivering outstanding customer experiences
  • A current C Class Driver's Licence and White Card
