We lead the market in every segment—from first homes to luxury residences—and our purpose is to deliver the dream of home ownership. In Victoria, you may know us through our trusted brands Boutique Homes and Homebuyers Centre.

We offer a market‑leading parental leave scheme, performance recognition programs, volunteer opportunities, and ongoing learning and development initiatives to support your growth. You’ll be part of a vibrant culture that values connection, celebrates success, and is led by approachable leaders with a clear vision.

What's on offer

We are seeking an Electrical Design Consultant (Lifestyle Designer) to join our Showroom and Electrical Design team on an initial six‑month contract.

In this role, you’ll deliver personalised, high‑quality home electrical solutions, using your technical expertise to design complete electrical plans including lighting, power, data, security, and heating & cooling layouts. You’ll collaborate with customers to understand their lifestyle needs and turn them into functional, tailored electrical designs.

The role is primarily based at our Docklands Head Office, with occasional travel to our Geelong Showroom and other Victorian locations. You will enjoy hybrid working arrangements and a rotating roster (including some Mondays off!) to ensure we’re available for customers on weekends.

Responsibilities include:

  • Consult with customers to understand their electrical design requirements and budget
  • Create, review, and present detailed electrical plans and heating & cooling solutions
  • Prepare and coordinate product information, catalogues, and planning documents
  • Liaise with suppliers to stay current on new products, technologies and design trends
  • Provide an exceptional, personalised customer experience throughout the process

What you'll bring

  • Experience in, retail, showroom consulting or similar environments (lighting, interiors or home products desirable)
  • Ability to quickly learn and understand product ranges, technical information and design concepts
  • Confidence communicating with customers and guiding them through choices and recommendations
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport and deliver a warm, personalised experience
  • High attention to detail and the ability to interpret visual information (or a willingness to learn)
  • A curious mindset and genuine interest in home design, lighting, technology or trends
  • A passion for delivering exceptional customer service

Why join us

At ABN Group, people are at the heart of everything we do. We are an equal opportunity employer and value diversity and inclusion, reflecting the communities we serve. Employment decisions are based on merit, and we welcome applications from all backgrounds.

You must have the right to live and work in Australia to apply.
