What You Will Be Working On 

Reporting to the Accounts Payable Manager, you will lead the AP team ensuring activities are delivered in a quality, timely, efficient and effective manner.

Key responsibilities include: 

  • Manage customer relationships ensuring consistent, efficient, and quality services provided including any timely escalations for resolution
  • Drive process improvements for the team and support change initiatives
  • Manage risk, ensuring adherence to compliance programs (FBT, GST etc.)
  • Oversee payments, reconciliations, end of month and year end processes
  • Support a culture of excellence for AP, consistent with ABN’s purpose, vision and values

What Type of Person Will Be Successful 

We're seeking someone with experience in leading teams with demonstrated skills in coaching, mentoring and supporting team members through their development.  

Other key skills and experiences: 

  • Sound understanding of AP processes in a high-volume transactional environment
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills delivering to deadlines
  • Proven ability to manage priorities across multiple stakeholders
  • A positive, flexible, can-do attitude to handle multiple deliverables
  • Process improvement mindset with a focus on standardisation, automation and refinement
  • Excellent communication skills (written, verbal and presentational)
