The Role

As a Loan Assessor, you’ll be responsible for reviewing, processing and management of loan applications from submission to formal approval and liaising with external parties involved in the process (Brokers, Lenders, Valuers & Solicitors).

Key duties will include:

  • Accurate and timely processing and assessment of loan applications through all stages from submission to formal approval
  • Ensure all compliance and regulatory obligations are met throughout the loan process
  • Assist brokers with loan submissions through to Bluebay Home Loans and missing information requests
  • Prepare and issue accurate and professional communication of all types with brokers and other external stakeholders

You

A Loan Assessor must display a sound knowledge of the mortgage lending process as well as a high level of customer service and attention to detail.

The ideal applicant will possess:

  • At least 2 years’ experience in a mortgage loan assessment, preferably with a Bank, Mortgage Manager or Non-Bank Lender.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Outstanding time management and prioritisation skills
  • Ability to work independently and demonstrate initiative
  • Be able to contribute positively to a team environment
  • Close attention to detail coupled with speed and accuracy
  • Sound judgement and credit assessment capabilities
  • Good computer skills (Word, Excel, and Outlook)
