What You Will Be Working On

Reporting to the Drafting Team Leader, you will prepare accurate drawings for building contracts and permits, ensuring strict compliance with construction standards, documentation, and regulations. 

• Prepare contract, prestart, and variation drawings to meet customer and statutory requirements
• Ensure high standards in drawings and compliance with client variations and technical specifications
• Provide technical support to internal teams and Site Managers to resolve design and documentation issues
• Review and correct errors in team members’ drawings to maintain quality assurance standards
• Liaise directly with engineers and energy assessors to ensure all designs meet compliance requirements
• Ensure architectural and engineering drawings are fully compatible and coordinated
• Regularly review performance objectives and development plans to maintain professional growth

Who Will Be Successful

If you are a skilled and detail-oriented residential Draftsperson with a passion for the building industry and technical drawing, we would love to hear from you! We are also seeking individuals with the following experiences and skills:

• Proven experience with ArchiCAD and a strong understanding of residential construction methods and R-codes
• Certificate IV in Residential Drafting or equivalent experience
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• High attention to detail with a relentless focus on accuracy and neatness
• Strong logical thinking and problem-solving skills to navigate complex design requirements
