What's on offer?

This is a Parental Leave contract for up to 18 months.

As a Knockdown Rebuild Assessor, you will play a key role in supporting the sales team by providing detailed site analysis to ensure we deliver accurate information to our customers. Your responsibilities will include assessing proposed designs, title restrictions, neighbouring properties, council requirements, and site documentation for potential issues. You'll provide expert recommendations on usability, siting, and home orientation to help guide customers through the knockdown rebuild process.

 

What you'll do:

  • Site inspections, including spot levels, setbacks, and planning assessments.
  • Identify potential issues or permit requirements.
  • Provide technical support to sales, estimating, drafting, and construction teams.
  • Document and photograph sites for reporting and compliance.
  • Identify and resolve site-related challenges, ensuring adherence to council regulations.
  • Recommend adequate service locations or necessary upgrades.
  • Assess neighbouring properties and produce detailed reports.
  • Assist with town planning and council regulation queries.
  • Evaluate title restrictions, planning overlays, and traffic management requirements.

 

What you can bring:

You are passionate about furthering your career in the building industry and have proven experience in residential home design, construction, or planning.

Your resume will display:

  • Tertiary qualifications in building and construction.
  • Proven ability to read and interpret architectural drawings, engineering plans, soil reports, and specifications.
  • Excellent understanding of residential construction methods and residential codes.
  • Experience partnering with customers and colleagues to provide expert advice.
