The Role

Reporting to the Customer Service Manager, you will be a part of the Customer Experience Team in Pre-Construction as an Approval Consultants responsible for lodging and tracking building submissions to both Shires and Developers.

*This role is offered as a 12‑month fixed‑term contract.

You will also be responsible to:

  • Process the submissions of building license applications, planning applications, developer applications
  • Liaise with Sales and Design team members to achieve positive outcomes for our customers
  • Establish and maintain relationships with stakeholders (including local councils)
  • Utilise technology systems to update reports accurately
  • Provide alternative suggestions and outcomes to non-complaint requests
  • Ensure file notes are entered accurately using appropriate systems
  • Provide ongoing support throughout the customer journey from sales through to construction

You

We are looking for individuals with sound administration skills with an exceptional eye for detail.

You will also possess the following:

  • Experience working in a Shire Liaison, Local Council or Planner role is desirable but not essential.
  • Knowledge of Residential Design Codes, local planning policies and National Construction Codes
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and able to quickly learn new platforms
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team with a wide group of stakeholders across multiple business functions
  • Effective problem-solving skills with an ability to influence individuals or groups to achieve better outcomes
  • Practical approach with a drive to improve or exceed goals
