Our apprenticeships won’t limit you on to a career on site, we have a range of in-office job roles that are available and require knowledge and skills you will gain through your apprenticeship. 

Many of our successful leaders and employees here at ABN Group began their career as an apprentice (even Dale Alcock himself!) They put in the hard yards to become Site Managers, Construction Estimators, Senior Managers... the list goes on!

We have trained more than 1,600 apprentices, and we currently employ more apprentices than any other builder in Australia. We recognise apprentices are the future of the industry and we are here to support and empower that future.

What You Will Be Working On

We have several apprenticeships available here at ABN Group, from Bricklaying to Plumbing, Carpentry to Cabinet Making, and everything in between! For a full list of our apprenticeships, head to the ABN Training website here.

During your apprenticeship, you will gain practical experience on site with our Host Trainers. They will show and tell you everything you need to know and upskill you to be confident in mastering the trade. Between your Host Trainer and Training Manager, they will provide you ongoing feedback to ensure we’re seeing your true potential and coaching you to be the best you can be.

Asides from the onsite, you will also undergo a small business course towards the end of your apprenticeship so that you have the skills to set up and run your own business. 

What Type Of Person Will Be Successful

We are seeking applicants with:

• A can-do, positive attitude and good communication
• Open to feedback and keen to learn new skills 
• Commitment to taking pride in their work
• Drivers licence is desirable but not essential
• You will need a White Card, but don’t stress if you don’t have this already, you can complete this online
