About the Role
We are seeking a Retail Centre - Commercial Manager to join the ABN Retail team on a full-time, fixed-term basis, based in our Leederville office, supporting the team during a parental leave period. Reporting to the Home Collective Manager, and with a Product Coordinator as a direct report, you will oversee the Home Collective Product and Specialist team while driving commercial performance, strategic growth and operational excellence. This role is responsible for developing and executing sales strategies, commercial outcomes, identifying growth opportunities, and fostering strong cross-functional collaboration to deliver exceptional business results.
Key responsibilities include:
- Lead and develop the Home Collective Product and Specialist teams to achieve sales, profitability and performance objectives.
- Drive commercial performance through sales strategy, forecasting and the identification of growth opportunities, using market trends, competitor insights and key business metrics to inform decision-making.
- Monitor and report on business performance, preparing and presenting sales, forecast and market analysis using Excel and other Microsoft Office tools to provide actionable insights to senior management.
- Manage key stakeholder relationships, including contract negotiations, customer enquiries and cross-functional collaboration across Retail teams.
- Champion continuous improvement, fostering a high-performing team culture aligned to ABN Group values while managing risk, compliance and change effectively.
About You
You are a commercially minded and people-focused leader who thrives on driving performance, developing teams and delivering outstanding business outcomes.
- Solid leadership capability, with demonstrated experience within retail operations, inventory and product management, sales planning and reporting.
- Experience in achieving commercial targets and leading, coaching and supporting direct reports and contractor resources.
- Strategic and business-minded, with the ability to identify growth opportunities and contribute to long-term business success.
- Strong communicator with the ability to build trusted relationships with customers, stakeholders and team members.
- Results-driven and solutions-focused, with a continuous improvement mindset and proven change management capability.
- Highly organised and self-motivated, with strong analytical skills, process discipline and proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
