The Role
As a Project Estimator, you’ll play a critical role in cost management governance and retail price management for Medium Density projects. You’ll prepare build pricing, including Bills of Quantities, façade and detailed costings of site and project-specific variables, enabling Development Managers to bid and win new projects. You’ll also create and maintain upgrade options to provide fixed upfront pricing for customers, supporting overall business success.
This role is integral to the Pre-Construction process, ensuring accurate retail pricing and documentation. You’ll act as the gatekeeper for Pre-Release, driving operational excellence and supporting sustainable solutions across cost management, sales estimating, and supplier partnerships.
What You’ll Do
- Develop and maintain accurate project estimates and Bills of Quantities.
- Ensure compliance with building codes, energy efficiency requirements, and developer guidelines.
- Maintain variation price books and master BOQs in line with retail strategy.
- Analyse margins and ensure benchmarks are met.
- Collaborate with internal teams to improve cost management processes.
- Communicate effectively with Development Managers, suppliers, and stakeholders.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and customer experience.
What You’ll Bring
- Experience in Estimating and creating BOQ's.
- Exposure to Medium Density projects is preferred but not essential.
- Commercial acumen and problem-solving skills.
- An understanding of the building process.
- Exceptional time management and organisational skills.
- Clear communication skills (written and analytical).
- Ability to work collaboratively and maintain professional relationships.
