The Role
We’re seeking a People Development Specialist to support our Victorian businesses and play an important role in shaping how our people learn, develop and grow.
Reporting to the Group Manager, People Development, you’ll partner closely with leaders and teams across Victoria to identify capability gaps, understand development needs and design practical learning solutions that improve individual, team and business performance.
This is a hands-on, end-to-end role where you’ll combine instructional design, facilitation and organisational development to create learning experiences that deliver meaningful behavioural change.
You’ll work directly with stakeholders to understand their challenges and translate these into engaging and practical development solutions. From conducting needs analyses and designing blended learning programs, through to facilitating workshops, coaching leaders and supporting broader culture and change initiatives, you’ll have the opportunity to make a visible impact across our Victorian operations.
While your primary focus will be supporting Victoria, you’ll also collaborate with the broader People Development team and contribute to Group-wide capability, leadership and organisational development initiatives.
Key responsibilities include:
- Partner with Victorian leaders and stakeholders to identify capability gaps and development priorities
- Design engaging learning solutions, workshops and development programs aligned to business needs
- Develop blended learning content, including face-to-face, virtual, eLearning and digital resources
- Facilitate impactful learning experiences for employees and leaders across different levels of the organisation
- Coach leaders and subject matter experts to build capability and confidence
- Support leadership development, team effectiveness and behavioural change initiatives
- Contribute to broader organisational development, culture and transformation programs
- Partner with the broader People Development team to support Group-wide initiatives
- Use stakeholder feedback, data and insights to evaluate learning effectiveness and continuously improve programs
About You
You’re an experienced learning and development professional who enjoys working closely with the business, building strong relationships and partnering with leaders to understand capability needs and identify practical solutions.
You’ll bring:
- Experience in Learning & Development, Capability Development or Organisational Development
- Strong instructional design capability with experience developing practical and engaging learning solutions
- Excellent facilitation and presentation skills, with confidence working with employees and leaders at all levels
- Experience supporting leadership development, culture, change or organisational development initiatives
- Strong stakeholder management, consulting and relationship-building skills
- The ability to understand business challenges and translate them into practical development solutions
- Experience with learning technologies, LMS platforms and digital learning tools
- A TAE qualification or equivalent learning and development credentials
