The Role
We are seeking an experienced and commercially minded FP&A Business Analyst to join our Finance team in Melbourne.
Reporting to the FP&A Finance Manager or GM FP&A, this role will play a key part in supporting business performance through meaningful financial insights, analysis, and reporting. You will work closely with Finance and business stakeholders to support planning, budgeting, forecasting, and performance reporting across corporate business units.
Key responsibilities include:
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and planning processes across business units
- Prepare detailed financial and performance reporting to provide timely business insights
- Assist with quarterly forecasting, scenario modelling, and financial analysis
- Analyse trends, variances, and performance drivers to support decision-making
- Build and maintain financial models and business case templates
- Support executive presentations and reporting packs for leadership teams
- Maintain and update cost allocation models used across the business
- Collaborate with Finance Business Partners and key stakeholders to identify risks and opportunities
- Ensure data integrity, reporting accuracy, and alignment with internal controls and finance policies
About You
You are a commercially aware finance professional with strong analytical capability and a passion for driving business performance through insight.
You will bring:
- Previous experience in an FP&A Analyst or similar commercial finance role
- Strong experience supporting budgeting, forecasting, and reporting cycles
- Advanced Excel and financial modelling capability
- Excellent analytical and communication skills, with the ability to explain complex information clearly
- Strong business acumen and understanding of financial and operational drivers
- Experience working collaboratively across multiple stakeholders and business functions
- CA, CPA, or equivalent finance qualification
- Experience with ERP systems; Microsoft Dynamics 365 exposure will be highly regarded
- Exposure to Power BI or data visualisation tools will be advantageous
