The Role

As a Draftsperson with Dale Alcock Projects, you will play a key role in preparing accurate, compliant documentation that supports the successful delivery of medium‑density developments. You’ll work closely with internal teams, consultants, and stakeholders to ensure drawings meet construction, statutory, and client requirements.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Preparing contract, prestart, and variation drawings to a high standard
• Producing sketches and documentation aligned with customer, construction, and compliance needs
• Liaising with Development and Pre‑Construction teams to ensure accurate information flow
• Providing technical advice to internal departments to support project objectives
• Coordinating with external consultants, including engineers and energy assessors, to ensure compliance
• Ensuring architectural and engineering documentation is fully compatible
• Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives within the drafting team
• Supporting the broader project lifecycle through accurate, timely documentation

You

This role suits someone who is motivated, detail‑focused, and eager to contribute to complex residential projects. 

• Certificate IV in Residential Drafting or equivalent experience
• Experience using ArchiCAD 
• Understanding of residential construction methods, R‑Codes, NCC and Australian Standards
• Knowledge of local government policies and documentation requirements
• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate across teams
• A proactive mindset with strong attention to detail

Experience with multi‑unit or medium‑density developments is beneficial but not essential.
