The Role
Reporting to the Drafting & Approvals Manager WA, you will effectively oversee and provide leadership to the approvals team across ABN brands, setting reporting on and achieving monthly goals in line with business requirements.
Key responsibilities include:
- Prioritise, allocate, and track all jobs within the team and department, ensuring efficiency and timely completion
- Lead and support a customer-centric culture within the approvals function, providing feedback to build team capability and promote continuous learning
- Engage key stakeholders to implement initiatives improving efficiency and effectiveness, positively impacting approval timelines and customer satisfaction
- Conduct assessments of approval applications for insights, development and process improvement
- Meet and exceed KPIs for workflow management, approval timelines and customer satisfaction
- Conduct ongoing performance reviews with team members focusing on development plans and individual performance
- Document and address present and future risks associated with approval processes, supporting mitigation plans
- Proactive communication and relationship building with external stakeholders
About You
This position requires someone with a continuous improvement mindset and able to influence and deliver ABN’s commitment to a positive customer experience.
You will also have the following skills and experiences:
- Leadership capabilities with the ability to in motivate, manage and provide clear direction
- Experience with shires, local councils, approvals and compliance
- Exceptional communications skills with an ability to clearly articulate to a variety or audiences
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong working relationships
- Time management, prioritisation and organisational skills
- Knowledge of regulatory and approval processes in WA residential construction industry
- Ability to effectively problem solve and influence optimal outcomes
