The Opportunity
Reporting to the Senior Developer, you will design, build and maintain applications using PHP, JavaScript, T-SQL and jQuery. You will collaborate with stakeholders and team members to deliver high-quality outcomes that are efficient and fit for purpose solutions. You will be working for a dynamic business which is constantly striving for innovative solutions to improve its processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, test, and maintain applications using PHP, JavaScript, jQuery, T-SQL, HTML5, CSS3, Python and Powershell
- Build responsive and user-friendly interfaces that work across multiple browsers and devices
- Design and implement server-side logic, APIs, and database integrations.
- Optimize applications for improved speed and scalability
- Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve software defects and performance issues
- Collaborate with staff, other developers and project managers throughout the development lifecycle
- Maintain code quality through documentation, testing, and version control practices
- Provide triage IT support and escalation to our desktop team
Experience and Qualifications required
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or related IT qualification.
- Proficiency in PHP, JavaScript, T-SQL, and jQuery
- Knowledge of AJAX and JSON for asynchronous web development
Additional experience that would be advantageous includes:
- Python and PowerShell development
- HTML5 and CSS3
- APIs, web services and version control systems
- MSSQL and relational database management

- 2+ years’ experience in a Development role
