The Opportunity

Reporting to the Senior Developer, you will design, build and maintain applications using PHP, JavaScript, T-SQL and jQuery. You will collaborate with stakeholders and team members to deliver high-quality outcomes that are efficient and fit for purpose solutions. You will be working for a dynamic business which is constantly striving for innovative solutions to improve its processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, test, and maintain applications using PHP, JavaScript, jQuery, T-SQL, HTML5, CSS3, Python and Powershell
• Build responsive and user-friendly interfaces that work across multiple browsers and devices
• Design and implement server-side logic, APIs, and database integrations.
• Optimize applications for improved speed and scalability
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve software defects and performance issues
• Collaborate with staff, other developers and project managers throughout the development lifecycle
• Maintain code quality through documentation, testing, and version control practices
• Provide triage IT support and escalation to our desktop team

Experience and Qualifications required  

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or related IT qualification.
• Proficiency in PHP, JavaScript, T-SQL, and jQuery
• Knowledge of AJAX and JSON for asynchronous web development

Additional experience that would be advantageous includes:

• Python and PowerShell development
• HTML5 and CSS3
• APIs, web services and version control systems
• MSSQL and relational database management
