What You'll Be Working On

As a Draftsperson, you will be primarily responsible for the efficient and accurate preparation of drawings, encompassing contract documentation, preconstruction procedures, construction techniques, and compliance requirements. Your role will involve:

• Liaising with Development stakeholders to ensure accurate documentation is provided
• Consulting with other business departments, providing technical advice and assistance to achieve business objectives
• Collaborating with external business stakeholders to ensure compliance requirements are met
• Undertaking continuous improvement initiatives with the drafting team and business stakeholders
• Occasionally creating sketches in accordance with customer, construction, statutory, and compliance requirements

Who Will Be Successful

To excel in this position, you will need to demonstrate:

• Residential Drafting experience, showcasing your expertise
• Cert IV in Residential Drafting or an equivalent qualification
• Proficiency in using ArchiCAD for accurate and efficient drawings
• (Optional) Experience using Revit software
• (Optional) Experience with multi-unit developments is beneficial but not critical
• Sound knowledge of Australian Standard and NCC requirements
• Familiarity with Local Government policies and guidelines
• Strong Construction and R-Codes knowledge
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to facilitate effective collaboration
