What’s On Offer?
As Accounts Receivable Team Leader, you’ll lead day-to-day operations across billing, cash applications, and collections. Partnering closely with the Accounts Receivable Manager, you’ll guide and mentor a small team, ensure financial accuracy, and champion continuous improvement to make processes smarter and more efficient.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading billing operations to ensure invoices are issued accurately and on time
- Maintaining and reviewing customer accounts in line with ABN’s master data policies
- Overseeing cash applications, reconciliations, and financial adjustments including credits, debits, and rebates
- Monitoring customer payment trends and highlighting potential risks of non-payment
- Building strong relationships with customers and internal teams to resolve queries quickly and positively
- Supporting month-end and audit activities with reliable data and documentation
- Driving process improvements to streamline workflows and enhance reporting accuracy
- Contributing to ABN initiatives that reduce disputes and strengthen compliance
You
You’re a confident finance professional with a balance of technical expertise and leadership capability. You take pride in accuracy, enjoy mentoring others, and bring a proactive approach to solving challenges and improving processes.
- Demonstrated experience leading or mentoring within a finance or accounts receivable team
- Strong knowledge of billing operations, reconciliations, and master data accuracy
- Ability to resolve complex billing issues and ensure compliance with contractual and financial standards
- Sound understanding of accounting principles, audit processes, and financial adjustments
- Experience in the construction industry or a similar sector (advantageous).
Working towards or holding a relevant accounting qualification (CA, CPA, or equivalent) - Skilled in ERP and financial systems for accounts receivable management and reporting
- Familiarity with data visualisation tools such as Power BI or Tableau
