What You'll Be Working On

In this role, you will be responsible for:

• Prepare feasibility costings, budget estimates, and competitive tenders for projects across various construction types
• Conduct quantity surveying take-offs and develop clear bill of quantities, including clarifications, inclusions and exclusions
• Review tender documentation and subcontractor quotes to ensure accurate and competitive pricing
• Present cost estimates to the General Manager and clients, offering value engineering solutions to optimise budgets
• Liaise effectively with subcontractors, suppliers and consultants to support tendering and procurement processes
• Deliver high-quality estimate handovers to project teams and support project planning and budgeting tasks
• Apply basic financial, negotiation and strategic principles to individual responsibilities and contribute to process improvements
• Maintain strong stakeholder relationships and meet documentation, compliance and customer service standard in all tasks

Who Will Be Successful

 You’re a detail-driven estimator with strong experience in commercial or residential construction. Confident working in a fast-paced environment, you bring sound knowledge of the WA market, strong technical skills and a proactive approach to every project.

Other skills and attributes which will make you successful:

• Experience preparing tenders and estimates up to $20M
• Ability to interpret drawings, specs and soil reports
• Strong skills in quantity take-offs and bills of quantities
• Confidence estimating from first principles
• Knowledge of Perth’s subcontractor market
• Excellent time management and communication skills
• Proficiency in MS Excel and Word
• Ability to work in a team
