Home Assist is looking for a Service Manager – Projects, to confidently navigate builder liability across diverse job contracts.

The Role

As Service Manager – Projects, you’ll manage site queries, defect liability and repairs across ABN project builds. Using your construction expertise, you’ll assess client concerns, conduct site inspections and coordinate trades to deliver timely, high-quality, compliant outcomes.

Your role will include but not limited to:

  • Manage site queries, defect liability close-outs, and general works across project builds
  • Conduct regular site inspections, assessing issues and providing clear, empathetic communication to clients
  • Coordinate and supervise repair works, including scope, trades, scheduling, and quality control
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure efficient job flow, approvals, and timely completion of works
  • Monitor contractor and supplier performance, including cost control and accountability
  • Complete QA checks, compliance inspections, and maintain high-quality workmanship standards
  • Identify recurring issues and provide feedback to improve construction practices and reduce defects
  • Deliver strong customer service while maintaining safety standards and effective stakeholder communication

You 

To succeed in this role, you will have the following attributes:

  • Experience in residential construction, site supervision, or maintenance/service roles
  • Solid knowledge of building codes, standards and construction processes
  • Clear understanding of defect liability periods
  • Ability to assess defects, technical issues, and interpret plans and contract documents
  • Strong coordination and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple jobs
  • Excellent communication skills with a customer-focused approach
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with trades, suppliers, and stakeholders
  • High attention to detail with a focus on quality, compliance, and safety
  • Proactive problem-solver with strong organisational and reporting skills
