About the role

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Land & Strategic Partnerships Manager to join our Retail team on a 12-month fixed term contract, based at our Leederville office.

Reporting directly to the General Manager – Retail, you will play a key leadership role in driving ABN Group's land strategy, strengthening developer partnerships and identifying opportunities that support the Group's ongoing growth and competitive position within the residential construction market.

Working closely with senior leaders, property developers and key industry stakeholders, you will be responsible for identifying future land supply opportunities, influencing development outcomes and ensuring our land and display home strategies align with market demand and business objectives.

You will also provide leadership to the Land Team, driving operational excellence, strengthening stakeholder relationships and ensuring strategic priorities are translated into meaningful business outcomes across our retail brands.

This is an opportunity to make a significant impact within one of Australia's leading residential building groups, combining strategic thinking, commercial acumen and relationship management to influence the future direction of our business.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Develop and execute land strategies that support future growth, market share and competitive advantage across ABN Group's retail brands.
  • Build, maintain and strengthen strategic relationships with property developers, industry partners and key external stakeholders.
  • Identify and negotiate future land supply, exclusive land programs and strategic partnership opportunities.
  • Lead geographic market analysis, identifying emerging development opportunities, market trends and potential risks.
  • Drive the Group's display home strategy, ensuring location and investment decisions align with business priorities and market opportunities.
  • Influence estate planning, land release strategies, lot configurations and development outcomes to support customer needs and commercial objectives.
  • Lead, mentor and develop the Land Team, fostering a collaborative, accountable and high-performing environment.
  • Work closely with Sales, Marketing, Product, Design and Operations teams to align land strategies with broader business objectives.
  • Oversee developer agreements, land commitments and operational processes, ensuring effective governance and delivery.
  • Provide market intelligence, performance reporting and strategic recommendations to support informed decision-making.

About you

We are looking for a commercially minded and relationship-driven professional who brings a strong understanding of the residential construction and property development industry.

You will be a confident communicator and strategic thinker, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders, identify commercial opportunities and translate business strategies into practical outcomes.

You will thrive in a collaborative environment, enjoy building long-term industry relationships and bring a proactive approach to delivering results.

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

  • Demonstrated experience within the residential construction, property development or related property industry.
  • Strong understanding of land supply, property markets, sales and marketing strategies.
  • Proven ability to establish, manage and influence relationships with developers, senior stakeholders and industry partners.
  • Strong commercial acumen, with the ability to identify opportunities, assess market trends and support strategic business decisions.
  • Experience leading, developing or influencing teams to achieve business objectives.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to interpret market data, identify trends and provide meaningful recommendations.
  • Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and deliver outcomes.
  • A proactive, solutions-focused approach, with a high level of professionalism and emotional intelligence.
  • A relevant tertiary qualification in property or valuation will be highly regarded.
