The Maker Designer Kitchens, part of the ABN Group, located in Bassendean, is Western Australia's largest designer kitchen and stone manufacturer. Employing over 150 staff over 3 dedicated premises. The Maker is focused on providing excellence in quality and service. This vacancy is based within our Cabinet Factory, with an occasional requirement to assist install on site.

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Cabinet Maker to join our team, specializing in high-end custom cabinetry. This role involves crafting bespoke pieces for luxury residential projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cabinetry, a passion for craftsmanship, and the ability to interpret and execute complex design specifications.

The role

Working from detailed cabinet layout drawings, assemble and layout complex cabinetry including curved surfaces and laminate. Modify and tailor cabinetry if required to suit appliances. Resolve any issues through liaison with the drafting department. Ensure all jobs are high quality and install ready within the required time frames.

The successful candidate will

• Work safely and in compliance with the health and safety standards
• Have excellent communication skills
• Be able to evidence previous practical experience in a similar role
• Hold a trade qualification in Cabinet Making, or a similar field 
• Read and understand cabinet drawings and plans
• Have advanced knowledge and skill in cabinet making and installing
• Have good knowledge of current cabinet hardware and materials
• Be a team player with the initiative to work unsupervised 
• Be trusted to deliver a quality job on time and in full
• Be professional in everything that they do.
• Hold a full and current Drivers Licence
