What You Will Be Working On

As our National Diversity and Wellbeing Specialist, you will collaborate closely with leaders, and the wider People team to develop and implement initiatives that enhance diversity, equity, inclusion, and employee wellbeing across the organisation (Western Australia and Victoria).

Key responsibilities include:

  • Develop and implement strategies to promote diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) within the Group
  • Collaborate with the Talent team to ensure hiring practices are inclusive and diverse
  • Organise and facilitate training sessions and workshops, in partnership with the Learning and Development team, on topics related to DEI and wellbeing
  • Conduct assessments and surveys to gauge employee satisfaction and wellbeing
  • Recommend and implement programs to enhance employee wellbeing, including mental health initiatives, work-life balance programs, and wellness activities
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of diversity and wellbeing programs and initiatives
  • Champion and own our Thrive wellbeing program, and calendars of events
  • Define and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) for diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) outcomes throughout the organisation to assess overall organisational well-being
  • Work closely with the People Business Partners to collaborate on enabling leaders to create and execute diverse recruiting, development, and retention strategies aimed at attracting and retaining top talent from diverse backgrounds
  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices related to DEI and employee wellbeing

About You 

You have demonstrated experience in the application of contemporary diversity and wellbeing practices and approaches as well as a working knowledge of relevant legislative and regulatory frameworks. You are highly motivated, passionate, and resilient, with a demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective business relationships with key stakeholders at all levels.

As ABN Group is evolving in this space, you will partner with internal and external stakeholders and be the subject matter expert, offering advice and support on all things diversity and wellbeing. You have a strong passion for diversity and wellbeing and have a commitment to social justice. Your high-level communication skills and excellent computer literacy, data analysis and interpretation skills, will serve you well in this role.

You will have demonstrated the following skills and experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Psychology, or a related field
  • Proven experience in diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives within a corporate or organizational setting
  • Strong understanding of DEI principles and best practices
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively and cross-functionally with various stakeholders
  • Experience in organizing and facilitating workshops and training sessions
  • Knowledge of employee wellbeing programs and strategies
  • Analytical skills to assess program effectiveness and employee feedback
  • Thrives in a fast-paced ambiguous environment
