Our Company

For more than 45 years, ABN Group has been a leader in the building, property, and finance industries, helping thousands of Australians turn the dream of home ownership into reality. We've delivered over 90,000 homes across Western Australia and Victoria — from first homes to luxury builds — earning the trust of our community along the way.

The Role

We are seeking a motivated and commercially minded Business Analyst – Construction to join our Strategic Projects Office based in Leederville.

This role supports the identification, analysis and delivery of construction-related business improvement initiatives. Working closely with stakeholders across Construction and support functions, you will help drive operational excellence by analysing performance, understanding business needs, identifying improvement opportunities and supporting the implementation of meaningful change.

Reporting to the Process Excellence Manager, you will combine business analysis, data analytics and continuous improvement methodologies to help improve efficiency, quality, customer outcomes and commercial performance across our Construction business.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Analyse construction, operational, financial and customer data to identify trends, risks and improvement opportunities.
  • Partner with stakeholders to gather requirements, map processes and develop practical solutions to business challenges.
  • Develop reporting, dashboards and performance insights that support evidence-based decision-making.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying inefficiencies, assessing impacts and recommending sustainable changes.
  • Contribute to business improvement projects through analysis, implementation support, change activities and benefits tracking.
  • Facilitate workshops and build strong relationships across Construction and support teams to drive successful outcomes.

About You

You are naturally curious and enjoy understanding how businesses operate. You combine strong analytical capability with excellent stakeholder engagement skills and are passionate about using data and process improvement to solve business problems and drive better outcomes.

You will bring:

  • Demonstrated experience in business analysis, operational analysis, process improvement or project support
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and translate findings into practical business recommendations
  • Experience gathering and documenting business requirements, processes and improvement opportunities
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • The ability to facilitate discussions, workshops and requirements-gathering activities
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities
  • Commercial acumen and a customer-focused mindset
  • A collaborative approach with the ability to influence stakeholders without direct authority
  • High attention to detail and strong problem-solving capability

Desirable

  • Tertiary qualifications in Business, Commerce, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Project Management or a related discipline
  • Experience within residential construction, construction operations or a similar operational environment
  • Experience in continuous improvement, operational excellence or business transformation initiatives
  • Exposure to tools such as Power BI, Excel, SQL, process mapping software or construction management systems
  • Knowledge of project delivery, change management or benefits realisation practices
